Product Description

The pin hole tester is an accurate instrument which is used in the food packaging and aluminium foil industry. Aluminium foils act as a barrier for packaging in food and pharmaceutical industry and play a very important role in protecting the inside contents from micro-organisms.

Pinholes are micro-size leaks which destroy the quality of foils used in the pharma packaging industry. In the aluminium manufacturing industry pinholes are usually produced during the production process of oils. Due to extreme pressure aluminium foils may develop these holes in the new sheets leading to filtration of inorganic chemicals.

Flexible Films and foils that are used in food Packaging laminates to enhance the barrier properties of package and to protect its content from gas/moisture permeation and also from light. Thinner gauges of AL foil contain pinholes through which moisture and oxygen from the environment can enter the package accelerating the degradation of the contents. Presence of excessive pinholes in the foils will significantly hamper the shelf life of such products.

The pinhole tester is an ideal solution for ensuring the quality and durability of aluminium foils in the packaging industry. It is a light box chamber which is equipped with lights in a close chamber environment above the glass specimen platform. The chamber is enclosed with thick covering which allows a see-through for pinhole inspection. The instrument complies with latest international standards.
