Metal components are often subjected to harsh environmental conditions, exposing them to potential corrosion risks that can compromise their integrity and reliability over time. By conducting rigorous corrosion tests, manufacturers can accurately evaluate the resistance of their products against various corrosive agents such as moisture, chemicals, or even extreme temperatures. Thus, it is important for the manufacturers to conduct corrosion resistance tests on the metals and ensure that quality products will be delivered to the customers.

Testronix corrosion resistance test chamber is one of the high-quality testing instruments that will be used to conduct a quality test on the materials like automotive components, metal parts etc. With the help of this quality test, manufacturers can easily ensure that the right products will be delivered to the customers. In this blog, we are going to discuss brief information about this quality testing equipment and 5 easy steps to conduct corrosion tests on the metals with this corrosion test chamber.

How does the Testronix corrosion test chamber help to test the corrosion resistance of metals?

Salt spray testing is an integral aspect of quality control in various industries, including automotive, aerospace, and many others. By simulating the corrosion resistance of materials, manufacturers can easily identify the potential weakness in the products when subjected to corrosion.

Testronix corrosion test chamber is one of the high-quality testing equipment that will accurately assess the corrosion resistance properties of surface coatings. It has been designed as per ASTM B117 and JIS Z 2371 test standards. This will ensure accuracy in test results. This test chamber will produce the salt mist, where the product manufacturers can place the materials, which needed to be tested. When these materials will be exposed to a salt-laden environment, generated in this corrosion test chamber, then users can easily test their product's corrosion resistance properties.

This high-quality lab testing instrument has been made with a high-quality stainless steel chamber with inbuilt temperature settings.

  • Its high-end features include:

  • Inbuilt temperature settings

  • Salt Spray Test feature to enable parameters according to test sample

  • Temperature and timer functions are inbuilt to set all test parameters accurately

  • Robust Construction with stainless steel body

  • Less maintenance and easy to operate model

  • Stainless steel Corrosion resistant body as per ASTM B117

  • The simple placement of samples with extra hooks

  • Users can control PID settings through the Advanced Hysteresis setting

With these high-end features and technical specifications, manufacturers can easily conduct corrosion resistance tests on materials. This quality test will help in performing quality assurance of metals.

Now, let us discuss 5 easy steps for conducting a corrosion test with the help of a corrosion test chamber.

How to conduct a corrosion test with the help of a corrosion test chamber?

As we have discussed above, a corrosion test chamber is one of the high-quality testing instruments that is used to conduct corrosion-resistance tests on the materials such as surface coatings, automotive components etc. If you are a metal product manufacturer, then you can easily conduct corrosion-resistance tests on the metals, with the help of this quality testing equipment.

  • Turn on the machine by plugging the mains socket of the machine into a 3-pin 15 amp socket. Ensure all operational safety notices and prerequisites have been adhered to the standards.

  • Connect the M8- PU Pipe with the Air Saturator DM Water Inlet Port. Visually examine that the Air Saturator, the water level starts increasing from the minimum DM water level. Markings are given.

  • In case filling manually, connect the top port of the air saturator with a PU pipe and connect another end to a Funnel and fill with water. Fill the DM water until it reaches the maximum level.

  • The next step will be preparing a salt solution for the reservoir tank.

  • Prepare the test specimen and place it accurately in the machine to commence the test.

In this way, you can operate the corrosion test chamber, and conduct a salt spray test on the materials.
