The Melt Flow Index Tester or MFI Tester helps in testing the flow properties of plastics. The melt flow indexer machine is used to calculate the melt flow of thermoplastic polymers. The physical and chemical properties of any material can be analyzed on the basis of the melt flow rate. The melt flow rate is an important measure in the PET and polymer industry.


The melt flow index test has to be conducted by manufacturers’ prior production. A digital display is another feature which helps in accurate measurement of results. The melt flow index (MFI) consists of a microprocessor based PID temperature controller which a range of 0 degrees to 400 degree Celsius. It has very high precision with a resolution of 0.1 degree Celsius. The equipment adheres to all industry standards (ASTM D 1238, IS 2267, IS-2530, IS 10810).
