If you want to conduct a colour-matching test on the materials then you need to follow the step-by-step procedure mentioned below.
Plugin the mains lead to an electrical socket of 3 pin-5 Amp configuration.
Put ON the “Main On” Switch from the Control Panel.
Place the material at the bottom of a viewing booth (sample test area) at the distance from the illuminator required to obtain the specific luminance. The specimen should be viewed at a distance of 450mm to 600mm (18” to 24”).
When viewing a glossy surface, it is necessary to avoid seeing the light source directly reflected by the surface. This may be accomplished when the sample is viewed at 45°.
Now turn ON the required light to see the colour difference between the master and sample. This will help to detect Metamerism.
