Use of 45/0 Geometry for Ink Color Measurement

In the new era of digital books and internet surfing, it is quite often that we forget about sitting and reading books or magazines in peace. However, it is not completely vanished. There is still an increasing demand of print media readers. Therefore, it is important for manufacturer of printed material that they must not lose their limited customers with poor quality issues. The major segment of quality assurance in print media is the quality of ink. After all it is the only material which assures the same consistency in every page of the same book for every viewer. Use of 45/0 geometry for ink color measurement using Spectrophotometer is the best considered best method for ink color assessment.

The device is equipped with a standardized illumination method which resembles the closest to the human eye perception. The design of the equipment strictly adheres to international color measurement standards such as DIN, CIE, ASTM and ISO. The integrated sphere of the device has 58 mm diameter which is just the right one for ink color measurement. Combined LED light source offer the complete color spectrum to transmit via the specimen.

Equipped with a photodiode array type sensor for instant and detail detection of color. It captures and works with a specified range of wavelength which is 400 to 700 nm. The color measuring aperture fitted is 8 mm in diameter. Uses color spaces like XYZ, CIE LAB, LCh, Yxy, HunterLAB, and CIE LUV. The test data which will be displayed on the touch screen will show information including the spectral value of the specimen in graph, color difference value etc.

Pass/Fail Criteria can be set as per the master standard. It offers an extra-long battery life with the use of lithium-ion battery. Fitted with a lamp which has a validity of 5 years minimum. The display screen is 3.5 inch wide for easy inspection. To conduct test on ink solution or any liquid form, use universal test component, which a part of color measurement accessory, will be given on request.
